Many of us wish to help Libya in any way we can whether it be by volunteering on the ground or from abroad. We are waiting for this opportunity.

Today Volunteer Libya in conjunction with the Save the Old city Campaign is proud to present our Gift of Learning program for the disadvantaged kids.

This summer program commence on the first week of June until the end of the summer break. It will be run by our Volunteer Libya staff with the financial help and support from your generous donations.

The Mission of the program is:

The mission of the Gift of Learning program is to improve our youths’ leadership skills through self-discovery using education, arts, and sports.

The Program Purpose is:

1. Provide a fun and safe place for students during summer hours
2. Provide positive interaction with caring role models
3. Encourage and develop life skills, respect for others, and positive social interaction
4. Introduce and engage youth in positive and potentially life changing environment
5. Provide an academic focus on reading and receiving assistance/tutoring in achieving higher scores during the school year.

 في إطار السعي إلى خلق شباب واعي يسهم بفاعلية إيجابية في تنمية وبناء مجتمع عن طريق مشاركته في مشاريع متعددة من شأنها أن تنهض وتُسهم في بناء ليبيا، تم تأسيس منظمة (التطوع  لأجل ليبيا) وسرعان ما أصبحت قاعدة بيانات للمتطوعيين من جميع فئات الشباب من أطباء ومحامين ومهندسين وذلك أثناء الثورة الليبية في 2011. حيث تُدار المنظمة في ليبيا عن طريق الشباب وتعمل من أجل النهوض بهم في جوانب متنوعة وذلك عن طريق الحملات التوعوية التثقيفية ومشاريع بناء الوطن. إن الخبرة الطويلة التي تفوق ال 10 سنين التي يتمتع بها أعضاء المنظمة في العمل مع الشباب وتقويتهم من خلال التثقيف والمؤتمرات فإننا على دراية كاملة بأن التطوع مع أية منظمة كانت من شأنها أن تُسهم في بناء مجتمع للشباب يُمكنهم من الترعرع فيه كأفراد يملكون حس من المسؤولية والحب تجاه ليبيا، هذا التطوع من شأنه أن  يُعزز قيم الشباب عن طريق خلق وإتاحة الفرص لهم للتفاعل مع مجتمعهم وتأدية دورهم تجاهه.

لقد قام أعضاء المنظمة من الشباب بالتطوع بوقته وجهده للتخطيط والتنظيم من أجل إستضافة عدة أحداث ونشاطات في طرابلس تمثلت في حفل إفطار جماعي خيري وذلك خلال شهر رمضان 2012 حيث خُصصت التبرعات لمساعدة العائلات المحتاجة، وإستضافة حدث لنشر الوعي بين الأفراد حول الأطفال المصابين بالسرطان حيث قام أعضاء المنظمة بزيارة الأطفال المصابين بالسرطان بمركز طرابلس الطبي خلال شهر يناير 2013 وتقديم الهدايا والمساعدات اللازمة والتي من شأنها أن ترفع من معنويات هؤلاء الأطفال.

Volunteer Libya officially launches website and organization

Seattle, WA – Volunteer Libya announces its official launch on May 15th, 2011, as a humanitarian organization coordinating and deploying volunteers in critical roles within cities across Libya to provide aid and efforts in the rebuilding of the country.

The Volunteer Libya team, consisting of Libyan and non-Libyan members, works as a liaison between volunteers and relief organizations throughout Libya, intending to help the country’s citizens in the process of reconstruction and the restoration of order.

It is Volunteer Libya’s mission to contribute to the establishment of a foundation of prosperity and wealth for the future of Libya. By offering a database that organizes professional and non-professional prospective volunteers and contributors, Volunteer Libya prepares teams of volunteers interested in traveling to Libya to lead and assist in the rebuilding process. Volunteer Libya enlists the services of people from around the world and matches each individual’s expertise and profession with pertinent opportunities in Libya.
